The Column
An introduction and plea

Welcome to what I am anxious to consider one of the most exciting new features of the Masheo redesign. I call it The Column, and it will provide (I hope) the medium through which the calls of literary eloquence may be heeded unhindered to those eager Masheoites brim-full of commentary, concern, or crapulence.
It is intended to serve as an open, albiet singularly directional forum for one to fully express one's opinions on any particular or gerneral topic that might benefit the Masheo community. With such an ambitious and (dare I say) ubiquitous range from which to entertain dialectic, one immediately confronts the enormity of the potential tasks and is forced to ask, "Huh? You want me to write sumthin'?... Whut am I gunna write about?"
Fret not, good friends, for it is at this juncture that I shall plant potential seed crystals from which the inspiration of your super-saturated craniums shall flourish beyond our joint capacity to comprehend.
Okay, so the point is, I want you to write cool stuff for masheo.
Ever had gripe about the X-files? Ever had someone say something to you that really set off a strong reaction? Ever felt like defending a character, or promoting a theory? What about analyzing Phile culture? If you can relate it to masheo, it qualifies.
That's what this column is all about. It's a place where you can say what you want to say. You can get up on your soapbox, get off your soapbox, put the soapbox on your head, and tell the world your opinion. Of course, you can always do that on the discussion board, but The Column was made specifically for hearty substance. Write an editorial, or write an opinion. Do you aspire to be the next Ann Landers? Talk to me, we'll set it up!
And that's the great thing about The Column there's no obligation. You're not stuck with an article to write every week, or even every month. Whenever you feel like writing about whatever you want to write about, you can! If writers are sparse I can always drag some rant out of Brianna, so there will always be something fresh and new!
